Working every day out in the pond
Passing through the pads and on the frond
One thing buzzes near and makes me fond
Flies.

It's a very small but tasty treat
Tastes a little tart, yet somewhat sweet
And a hint of pepper, so discreet
Flies

Keep your ketchup, salt, or greens
I don't need your clams, or salt sardines
Keep your potatoes, beets, or beans,
Flies

A side of tasty crickets is ideal
Gives the dish panache and more appeal
Finishes a truly tasty meal
